„I have a site, even some traffic, but nobody calls.” It's the most frequent phrase we hear at the first conversation. In almost all cases, the problem isn't how much traffic comes in, but how many visitors end up contacting you. That is, the conversion rate. Here are the 5 leaks we check first.
1. The site doesn't clearly say what you do and for whom
A visitor decides in 3–5 seconds whether they've landed in the right place. If the first section doesn't make clear what you sell, to whom and why you, they leave. The headline „Welcome to our website” says nothing. „Central heating repairs in Bacău, same day” says everything.
2. There's no obvious next step
Many sites forget the simplest thing: telling the person what to do. A clear call-to-action button — „Get a quote”, „Call now”, „Book a visit” — visible without scrolling, repeated throughout the page. If the visitor has to search for how to contact you, you've lost them.
Rule: on every phone screen there must be a single obvious next step.
3. The site is slow on mobile
Over 60% of traffic comes from mobile. If the page loads in 5–6 seconds, half the visitors leave before they even see it. Uncompressed images, useless scripts and poor hosting are the usual culprits. Speed isn't a technical whim — it's money lost on every visit.
4. There's no proof you're trustworthy
People buy from those they trust. Without real testimonials, case studies, client logos or concrete numbers, you're just another site that promises. Add specific proof: „over 2000 active clients”, „10 years of partnership”, real names. Generalities convince no one.
5. The form asks too much or is broken
A form with 10 required fields scares people off. Ask for the minimum: name, phone, one line about the need. And check often that it works — we've seen firms losing requests for months because the form stopped sending emails, without knowing.
The order in which to fix them
- First check whether the form works — it's free and can be the whole cause.
- Clarify the message in the first section — the biggest impact on conversion.
- Add clear action buttons everywhere.
- Optimize speed on mobile.
- Add real social proof.
Only after the site converts does it make sense to pour more money into traffic. Otherwise you pay for ads to send people into a leaky bucket. If you want to find out where your leaks are, request an analysis — we tell you what we see, concretely.
